Description
This Wrought Iron Window Handle is handcrafted by skilled blacksmiths using traditional forging techniques. After being cleaned and reheated to the optimal temperature, the handle is submerged in linseed oil, which burns into the iron and forms a natural blackened finish (blacking). This protective coating highlights the unique texture and marks of genuine hand-forging, though it is not fully weatherproof. Clean with an oiled cloth to maintain the finish.
The Wrought Iron Window Handle weighs approximately 80 grams and measures 8.5 cm in width. It is designed with standard hole spacing on the mounting plate, making it compatible with most casement window locking systems available on the market. Installation is simple and requires two screws (not included).
This handle is ideal for opening window locks and perfectly suits rustic homes, log cabins, saunas, or countryside cottages where natural and handcrafted elements are valued. It adds a charming, old-world touch while remaining functional and durable.
